Selena
She was singer performer designer and broke barriers in the industry of music. She was the first Mexican American singer who was both traditional and modern. She united both worlds and brought Tejano music into the mainstream. Similar to how most people grieve a celebrity who passed away too early, her passing was premature and destroyed the progress of her career. Fans have worked harder throughout the years to preserve her legacy. The tragic shooting death of Tejano singer Selena has triggered a response within the Latino community which can be likened in the wake of the deaths of Elvis Presley and John Lennon. Selena was a wildly loved Latino performer across North America. Her music transcended boundaries and inspired youngsters as well as older adults. Selena might have been described by many as the Latina Madonna, but she's still an excellent role model. Selena's family values off stage and her participation in AIDS awareness programs provide a great example.
